Words written for the two of you.
An ordained minister officiating weddings and commitment ceremonies across the Baton Rouge area since 2011, traditional, civil, and everything in between.
About Sarah
Greetings! My name is Rev. Sarah D. Corie, and I am an ordained Christian minister available to officiate Wedding Ceremonies and Commitment Services inside and outside of traditional settings.
I have officiated ceremonies in the Baton Rouge area since my ordination by Grace & Truth Fellowship Church in 2011.
I enjoy meeting with Brides and Grooms, and I will write a ceremony for each couple, tailoring those special words to make their ceremony reflect their love. My services are unique, personal, and dignified. I very much enjoy working with couples to make their special occasion memorable.

What couples say afterwards
Sarah feels like family the moment you meet her. Having her be part of our ceremony was absolutely one of the best choices we made.Caroline
We called Sarah two weeks before our wedding and she fit us in. We wanted a minimally religious ceremony, which she accommodated beautifully.Amanda
Her voice was so filled with peace and calmness. The first time I talked to Mrs. Sarah, she immediately washed away my nerves.Chynna
Getting started
The Louisiana marriage licence, explained plainly
Most couples have never done this before. I keep a straightforward guide to what the state actually requires, so nothing catches you out in the last week.
- Where to buy your licence, and what it costs
- The documents to bring (certified birth certificates included)
- Why Louisiana makes you wait 24 hours
- What to ask your officiant at your first meeting
- Clerk of Court locations, hours, and the 3 PM cutoff
